Rental arbitrage
Rental arbitrage is leasing a property long-term and re-renting it as a short- or mid-term rental, with the landlord's permission. The operator pays the owner fixed monthly rent and keeps the difference between guest revenue and operating costs. It requires written landlord consent and compliance with local rules, which vary by city and state.
